‍‍‍‍‍‍SOJOURN TRAVEL

About

Winter is coming! I know they told you that winter in Canada is incomparable and yes it’s true but winter doesn’t mean‍‍‍ that you can’t have fun in Canada. On the contrary, there are lots of activities you can do and really enjoy the snow during the winter season.

1. Get Be‍‍‍averT‍‍‍ails

Winterlude is an annual celebrarion of Winter. You can find the Snowflake Kingdom located in Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau with its collection of huge snow slides. You can also check out the International Ice Carving competition where carvers from around the world descend on Confederation Park in downtown Ottawa to transform blocks of ice into spectacular works of art. I recom‍‍‍mend you visit also at night when all lights are on.

What is the Beavertails?

“BeaverTails are an Ontario creation, a glutinous pastry enjoyed by the Pam and Grant Hooker family for three generations before the pair decided to go commercial in 1978 in the small town of Killaloe located two hours west of Ottawa. By June 2, 1980, the Hooker family had opened their first permanent storefront in Ottawa's ByWard Market”

What do they taste like : According to the BeaverTails franchise, a BeaverTail tastes "similar to a yeasted, cracked wheat baking-day treat prepared on early Canadian and American farms."

I can’t imagine a winter without Beavertails‍‍‍ with some hot chocolate. If you haven’t tried it yet, you have to hurry up to taste theses delicious and famous Bevertails. My favorite one is Nutella with some fresh bananas.
